Doing a patent search on USPTO.GOV with the help of inventor's color sell sheets and images
Below
is a screenshot of a keyword patent search result page done on www.uspto.gov (US
Patent & Trademark Office website). The result is displayed
in a spreadsheet format with each row being a patent document. A sell
sheet column (in red as shown) has been added to enable a user to view
each patent document's sell sheet.
Hovering over a cell under the sell sheet column, displays the
first color image of the patent document’s sell sheet. Double clicking
it, opens a new window displaying the sell sheet for that
patent document.
Alternatively hovering or clicking over any other column (title, patent
number, etc.) would do the same as above and in that case there would
be no need for a sell sheet column. Also hovering over the Title
column of a patent document, may display the title of the sell sheet.
When an inventor's sell sheet is uploaded to the Patent Search Engine,
the words in inventor's sell sheet may be included in future patent
searches to enhance the Patent Search Engine's search capabilities.
